AI can generate anything in seconds. The hard part is turning that output into something people trust enough to ship. That's what I've focused on over the last few years: designing how people interact with AI through models, prompts, variations, agents and conversational experiences. My work also spans discovery, marketplaces and enterprise platforms.

About
Portrait of Mariam Poghosyan

Hi, I'm Mariam.

Most of my work starts with a simple question: what problem are we actually trying to solve? I enjoy untangling complexity, understanding why people behave the way they do, and finding solutions that feel obvious once you see them. Cognitive psychology plays a big part in how I approach design.

TUMO and Picsart both hired me twice. I started at TUMO in 2011, coaching more than 1,000 students, and joined Picsart in 2014 as a web designer. Years later, both brought me back: TUMO to design the platform its workshops run on, and Picsart to lead design for how 150M+ people discover content.

How I work

I design AI people trust enough to put their brand on.

At Adobe GenStudio, Fortune 500 marketers needed the speed of generative AI without sacrificing creative control. I designed the flow from prompting and generating variations to editing and launch, keeping marketers in control at every step.

Structure changes behaviour more than polish does.

At Picsart, I restructured how people discover content and find inspiration, making it easier to move from browsing to creating. I organised millions of assets into a clear taxonomy and brought creative tools into the feed, so people could act on inspiration as they found it.

Most design problems are really alignment problems.

At TUMO, I led design across eight products, unifying fragmented experiences into one shared system. Through collaborative prototyping, I resolved leadership disagreements and aligned teams around clear product decisions.
